How does it work?

It's a foldable, accordion-style scratching board made from dense corrugated cardboard, with magnetic connectors that allow you to reshape it into different configurations (e.g. flat, curved, tunnel, etc.)
Inside one of the tracks is a bell-ball that rolls back and forth as the cat nudges it — the ball remains contained within the track, encouraging cats to paw at it repeatedly without losing it.
